I absolutely love hosting friends and family at my house. It brings me so much joy to see everyone I love gathered around the table. While Iām all about that dinner party life, sometimes itās easier and more fun to make a vegan cheese board everyone can graze on throughout the night. It takes the pressure off me to whip up an elaborate meal or a tray of individual appetizers and everyone else seems to enjoy the casual vibe, too. Today, Iām sharing my tips for creating a holiday party vegan cheese board that will impress all of your guests!
Step 1: Vegan Cheese
Obviously, vegan cheese will serve as the anchor of your vegan cheese board. I like to provide three options with slightly different flavor profiles. Our Sriracha Cheddar Cheeze Spread is spicy and rich, our Smoked Provolone Cheeze Spread offers a smoky and tangy flavor, and our Dill Havarti Cheeze Spread holds it down with a savory, herby profile.
Step 2: Fruits and Veggies
Veggies can be used for snacking or dipping and fruit offers a sweet contrast to the savory spreads. Baby carrots are great because they donāt require any prep. Cucumber, bell pepper, and broccoli would also be great. Winter and fall fruits like figs, blood orange, and pomegranate add a pop of color and juicy flavor. Grapes are an easy and crowd-pleasing choice!
Step 3: Salty and Sweet
I adore salty foods so I always include olives or pickles on my holiday party vegan cheese board. Banana peppers and pickled veggies make great options, too. Of course, you have to follow up a salty snack with something sweet. Dark chocolate broken into pieces or chocolate covered almonds are super easy and satisfying.
Step 4: Bread and Crackers
Dippers are an essential component to any holiday party vegan cheese board. Sliced baguette, crackers, and pita chips all work terrifically. You may want to offer a gluten-free option as well, like rice crackers.
Step 5: Extras
The final step in creating your holiday party vegan cheese board is to fill in any gaps. I like to use roasted nuts and fresh herbs. This time of year, I use rosemary. It gives off a nice holiday vibe and smells absolutely amazing – win win!Ā
